JTB “Whale Bus” spotted in Waikiki!

  |   News Releases

To celebrate its 100th anniversary, the Japan Travel Bureau (JTB) introduced its new road vehicle called “The Whale – ‘Oli‘Oli Walker” which replaces the former JTB ‘Oli‘Oli trolley. The whale started running its wheels through the Waikiki – Ala Moana route on April 2nd.

The front area of the new vehicle gives an amazing panoramic view of Waikiki that have never been seen before. The middle and back areas are open-air seating, which enable you to enjoy the cool Hawaiian breezes. These are just a few of the new functions on board that will give Hawaii travelers a new and exciting experience.

JTB is planning on introducing a total of three different color whale buses – blue, red, and green. Each color whale bus will run the “Diamond Head – Ward route”, “Waikiki – Ala Moana route” and “Downtown route”.

Clarence Lee Design handled the entire design project from, bus graphic designs, to the new Hawaiian themed ‘Oli‘Oli Walker group character design.
