Hokulani Waikiki
Print Collateral, Branding & Promotion Design
Client: Hilton Grand Vacations
Upon launching a new timeshare hotel “Hokulani Waikiki” in the epicenter of Waikiki, it needed a total branding from logo, print collaterals to sales tools. Because of its ultra central location, one of the major pulls is its night life accessibility, and central Waikiki access to upscale shopping, activities, dining mainly targeting towards young couples.
A fusion of stylish upscale resort and Hawaiian identity through brand image strengthened promotional effect.
The client was looking for a design aesthetic that would firstly reflect a chic contemporary urban feel, but also properly reflect both the hotel’s brand identity: the logo and Hokulani name which means “Heavenly Star”. The logo encompasses the heavenly star reflecting its shimmering light onto the Waikiki beach ocean. The guest collateral follows the theme of “the folklore of the heavenly stars generating the Hawaiian night sky”, therefore designed with a “water, ocean, relaxing” feel. Promotional effect was also improved by having both English and Japanese sales pamphlets.
