Company Visit by Japanese University Students Studying at the UH
On October 23, 2024, students from the International Tourism Business Course at Yasuda Women’s University in Hiroshima, Japan, who are studying abroad at the University of Hawaiʻi HELP (Hawaiʻi English Language Program), visited Clarence Lee Design to learn about local business.
In hopes of providing some useful information for the future of the students who are learning international tourism business, President Kuni Yamamoto explained the importance of branding through design thinking, which fuses creativity and business, from a universal mindset necessary for business, not only in Hawaii and Japan, to the importance of branding. He also talked about the 111-HAWAII PROJECT, which is a collaborative effort with the Hawaii Tourism Authority to promote local revitalization, social contribution, and international exchange.
