Students from Yasuda Women’s University, Department of International Tourism and Business visited our studio.
On November 3, 2023, students from the Department of International Tourism and Business at Yasuda Women’s University in Hiroshima, Japan, who are studying abroad at the University of Hawaiʻi HELP (Hawaiʻi English Language Program), came to Clarence Lee Design for a company visit. President Kuni Yamamoto shared stories with the students in hopes that they will help them in their future studies of international business. It included the importance of branding through design thinking, which fuses creativity and business, as well as the universal mindset necessary for business in Hawaii and Japan, and the structure of the 111-HAWAII PROJECT, which works with the Hawaii Tourism Authority to revitalize the local community, contribute to society, and engage in international exchange.
Clarence Lee Design, which has been involved in a number of design strategies and branding projects that connect Hawaii and Japan, hopes to continue such activities to build bridges between Hawaii and Japan in the future.
