UCC Hawaii, a coffee plantation on the Big Island of Hawaii with a panoramic view of the city of Kona and the beautiful sea, has developed “Barrel Aged Coffee (100% Kona Coffee)”, a coffee that has been aged in barrels for four months. Since it is a product with added value called barrel aging, differentiation from its main product, Kona Coffee, was an issue. In addition, it was necessary to plan and design the package assuming the development of a special product such as this product in the future.
Three new products are now available! A fusion of Hawaiian rum and Hawaiian coffee. Aged Kona coffee that has been slowly laid in a barrel for 4 months.
It has been decided to develop a unified product in the line of special coffee which will be developed in the future. Therefore, we decided to use a pouch bag that can be used in common, in which a label with the product name is attached. The main visual of the pouch bag is a hula dancer’s print illustration that makes you feel intuitively “made in Hawaii”, which is a common feature. The background color can be changed according to future products. The first product for this time is blue, which makes you feel the ocean and sky of Hawaii. In the future, as the number of products increases and the brand power of this product line increases, synergistic effects with their main products will be created.
